Joma operates solely in the B2B primary packaging business. Joma collects, processes and stores master data belonging to companies and their relevant contact persons.

  • Master data: company name, & address, commercial register & value added tax identification number, industry, legal form, telephone & fax numbers, economic power & company size, web address.
  • Contact person: surname, first name, title, function, e-mail, telephone numbers.

3. Data Processing Purpose

Joma collects, processes and stores personal data of companies, partners, customers, and suppliers, exclusively for the purpose of fulfilling its business activities and the corresponding contractual requirements.

Joma defines personal data as being any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. We collect this personal data from you directly,

  • when you, as an interested party or customer, are in contact with us. We require this data for the purpose of preparing offers, processing orders and fulfilling our contractual obligations.
  • Should you apply for a job with us and send us your contact and application documents, these will be processed electronically and manually during the employment selection process. In the event of a rejection, these application documents will be deleted immediately, unless you request otherwise.

  • When you visit our website, information such as the date, time, computer or mobile device IP address, name & version of your web browser and the operating system is recorded, and
  • if you choose to contact us via contact form, you are required to at least provide first name, surname, email address and telephone number, and to confirm the Declaration of Consent.

All data collected by us will be used solely for internal purposes and will not be passed on to third parties as long as there is no illegal use of the website.

4. Data Processing Principles

Joma processes personal data according to the strictest principles; safeguarding the protection and security of data, as well as the rights of the persons concerned is the ultimate concern.

Data processing is carried out in accordance with the GDPR in a lawful manner and in good faith. When data is collected, the person concerned is informed of how it will be used and processed.

Data collected by Joma is obtained and processed for specified, clear and legitimate purposes.

Furthermore, only such data is collected and processed as is necessary for the execution and processing of our contractual obligations or which you have voluntarily made available to us.

5. Transmission of Data to Third Parties

In order to fulfil our contractual obligations, it may also be necessary to pass your data on to third parties (e.g. the shipping companies, insurance companies, service providers that we use and to whom we make data available, etc.) as well as to courts or authorities. Your data will be forwarded exclusively on the basis of the GDPR, in particular to fulfil our contractual obligations, or with your prior consent. Some of the above-mentioned recipients of your personal data are located outside your country or process your personal data there.

The standard of data protection in other countries might not correspond to that of Austria. However, we will only transfer your personal data to countries for which the EU Commission has decided that they have an adequate level of data protection, or we take measures to ensure that all recipients have an adequate level of data protection, for which purpose we conclude standard contractual clauses.

6. Duration of Data Storage

We store personal data for as long as it is required for the purposes mentioned under point 3. If this data is subject to legal storage obligations, Joma will store it until the end of the legal period.

7. Information, Correction, Objection or Deletion Rights

You have the right to information about the personal data stored about you at any time. If your stored personal data is incorrect or no longer up to date, you have the right to demand that it be corrected.

In addition, you have the right at any time to request the deletion or restriction of data processing in accordance with Article 17 or 18 of the Austrian DS-GVO (GDPR).
